The main process characteristics of reflow soldering:
Purifying the surface of the metal to be soldered with flux (removing oxide) to provide good wettability to the solder; supplying molten solder to wet the metal surface;
Forming an intermetallic compound between the solder and the weld metal;

Reflow soldering has the following characteristics compared to wave soldering:
1. Reflow soldering does not require the components to be directly immersed in the molten solder like wave soldering, so the thermal shock to the components is small
2. Reflow soldering only applies solder to the required parts, which greatly saves the use of solder
3. Reflow soldering can control the amount of solder to be applied to avoid the occurrence of defects such as bridging
